Jack D’Or at the 2014 Beer Bloggers Conference
Jack D’Or is back and with a fresh new label! Last month I brought Jack D’Or with me to San Diego for the 2014 Beer Bloggers Conference. This delicious gem is brewed by Pretty Things Beer & Ale Project in MA and was the perfect beer to show off what MA has to offer to the craft beer world. Jack D’Or had some fun in the hotel’s pool waterfall before heading to the bottle share later that evening.
This was my 1st time to California and 2nd time to a Beer Bloggers Conference. I met great new people, learned some stuff, won some stuff, and drank a ton of interesting beers during the whirlwind of a weekend. If you’re a blogger and this sounds fun to you, I suggest you register for next year’s conference in Asheville, NC. Hopefully I’ll see you there!
The Brew Gentlemen
The Brew Gentlemen Beer Company is a brand new microbrewery located in the historic steel town of Braddock, PA. I’ve been wanting to animate an entire lineup of beers for awhile and their awesomely designed labels provided me the perfect opportunity. When visiting them I highly recommend having the Build & Destroy (wheat stout) and White Sky (a chai wheat beer). And of course check out the ever changing Rapid Prototype Factory series!
Want to see the fine details? You can view the individual labels on their beer page!
Beyond The Pale
Beyond The Pale is a very solid Pale Ale brewed by Fish Brewing Co. in WA and features some great label artwork. Clothing is optional while enjoying one of these beers. Heads up!
Hell or High Watermelon
Happy 4th of July! I hope you enjoy a cold one with your BBQ today! I personally like a good Hell or High Watermelon by 21st Amendment Brewery. Not too sweet and not too fruity, its one of the more natural tasting watermelon beers out there. It will always be one of my go to beers on a hot summer day.
I might be a little biased being from Maryland but Dead Rise is one hell of a good beer! Brewed using Maryland’s favorite seasoning, Old Bay, this summer ale by Flying Dog Brewery is my surprise hit of the season. It has a hint of Old Bay with a bitter citrus finish and is absolutely delicious.
Thanks to my friend Anna for sending me a 6-pack here in Boston!
